When I’m lost, I don’t know where to go
It seemed the world has turned so slow
When I see the winter flurry
The animals see it, off they scurry
The clock stopped ticking long ago
Off in the distance, I hear a crow
Everyone else halts in mid-walk
I wave my hand, see if they talk
Everything’s frozen, cold and forbidden
Deep in the snow is where their lives are hidden
I run down the streets, scream and shout
I want this to end! I want out!
Stuck in a dream bubble, that’s where I am
Weather came out as a lion, transformed from the lamb
When I shiver, I watch as my breath begins to dance
No one around me had a chance
Everyone’s stuck in mid air
Seeing their faces gives me a scare
Men, Women, Children too
Not moving, as if coated in glue
Snow stops in mid-fall and I wonder why
What happened to the shattered sky?
Glancing up I see no movement
I left the city to lament
I catch a squirrel, running, but stuck
Behind it is the worst of its luck
A giant wolf with glinting fangs
But its stuck, won’t move from even a guns bangs
There’s a time when I look up at the stars
Passing the frozen and halting cars
Where I see the line of your face
The lines are held with such grace
And when you left it all froze over
It’s just as unlucky as never finding a four-leaf-clover
When things die, I die too
That’s why I should belong with you
When you left things just froze
Soon it’ll start from my head, then to my toes
Solid confinement, deep crushing stone
Why did you ever leave me alone?

Every one of us has a beating heart, a pulsing soul, and a thinking mind inside of us and every heart and soul and mind has its limits.

I especially like the repeating idea of frozen objects in time. And the fact they cannot move makes it even more interesting.
